An engineer named Xiaolang Zhang who worked for Apple’s autonomous car division for 2 1/2 years was indicted for theft of trade secrets. Xiaolang Zhang’s manager became suspicious when he told him that he would be returning to China to take care of his elderly mother and that he would be working for an electric car company. An Internal investigation team at Apple looked into Xiaolang Zhang network activities and found that his network usage spiked to a two-year high in the days leading up to his resignation.
